1. General Product Warranty
ProSolar Systems Zimbabwe warrants its products against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery, fair wear and tear accepted. Some products, such as specific PV solar panels, may carry a different manufacturer's warranty, which will be specified on your quotation.
Our warranties are provided on a bring-in basis to our workshop. For items that are impractical to transport, we reserve the right to charge for travel time and mileage to the installation site.
2. What Voids This Warranty?
This warranty will be considered void if the unit has suffered any physical damage or alteration. The warranty does not cover damages arising from improper use, including but not limited to:
- Reversing the battery polarity.
- Inadequate or incorrect connection of the product.
- Mechanical shock, deformation, or contact with liquid.
- Use in an inappropriate environment (e.g., high humidity, dust).
- Damage due to lightning, power surges, or electrical spikes.
- Disassembly or modification by any unauthorized personnel.
3. System-Specific Terms & Conditions
Due to the technical nature of solar systems, the following warranty terms apply:
- Product-Only Purchase: If you purchase products but the system design and installation are not done by us, the warranty only covers the individual products, not the performance of the overall system.
- Design by Us, Installation by Others: If we design the system but do not perform the installation, the warranty applies to the products and system performance only if the commissioning is done and signed off by [Your Company Name].
- Full Service (Design, Install, Commissioning): If we design, install, and commission the system, our warranty applies to both the products and the correct functioning of the system.
4. Goods Return Policy
To return an item, please note the following terms:
- Goods must be returned within 7 days of the purchase date with a valid proof of purchase.
- Goods must be in their original, undamaged packaging with all manuals and accessories.
- A handling fee of up to 20% may be applied to cover restocking costs.
- Non-returnable items: Cut cable, fuses, and batteries.
5. Handling, Storage & Safety
Battery Handling & Storage
Batteries can be dangerous. Always store them upright in a cool, dry place and never place tools on top. Do not store a battery in a discharged state. Check voltage every 3-6 months and recharge if it drops below 12.5V.
Shipping & Transport Caution
Our products are sensitive. We are not responsible for damage caused after goods have left our premises. Please ensure your transport provider knows to handle these items with care.
Life Support Policy
Our products are not recommended for use in life support applications where a malfunction could impact patient safety.
